Gluten Free and Dairy Free Seed Crackers – The Recipe
Ingredients
100g of chia seeds
100g pumpkin seeds
100g sunflower seeds
50g hemp seeds
150g ground almonds
1-2 tsp salt
3 tbsp coconut oil – melted
350ml of water
Optional
2 tsp fennel seeds
Substitute hemp seeds for desiccated coconut and add 2 tbsp of raisins
Directions
- Place all the dry ingredients in a large bowl and stir
- Add the water and melted coconut oil, stir and leave to stand fro 15-20 minutes
- Place mixture on baking paper with an extra layer over the top. You may need to do this is 2 batches. Use a rolling pin to flatten to approximately 1/4 cm
- Score crackers into squares using a sharp knife
- Bake in the oven on 170 degrees C for 20 minutes. Turn crackers individually
- Bake for a further 15 minutes
